About this video

I'm a fan of science fiction. I'd love it if some of the rumors about AI were true. Id celebrate it. But we have to be realistic about where we are with AI technology. AI doesnt possess certain qualities because we havent programmed them in. What AI does is process and organize data using sophisticated algorithms. It doesn't truly learn in the way humans do. It doesnt have self-reflection or personal ambitions. We hear a lot of hype about AI's so-called unexpected behaviors. But let's be clear about what this means. Unexpected for whom For managers and those not directly involved in the programming Yes, perhaps. But for the programmers and developers who understand the underlying mechanics, there's no real surprise. AI behaves according to its programming and the data it's fed. When it produces unexpected results, it's often due to the complexities of these inputs, not because the AI has developed a mind of its own. So, let's stop with the scare tactics and sensationalism. The idea that AI is on the verge of becoming a self-aware entity is pure fiction at this point. We should focus on the real capabilities and limitations of AI, appreciating its potential while understanding it for what it truly isa powerful tool created and controlled by humans.
