About this video

Discover the challenges of using new technology during a live presentation. Learn how to handle unexpected technical issues on stage. Gain insights from meeting extraordinary speakers at a TEDx event. In this video, I share my unexpected experience at a TEDx talk in Manila, titled "The Silent Invasion," where I discussed the fate of human intelligence in the AI era. Despite careful preparation with an Apple Vision Pro headset, unforeseen technical issues arose. Moments before my speech, the headset malfunctioned, leaving me without a functioning teleprompter. This video recounts how I improvised on stage, delivering my 12-minute talk from memory while blind to the audience due to the rebooting headset. I also highlight the inspiring individuals I met at the event, showcasing the diverse and impressive backgrounds of my fellow speakers. Notable Questions We Answered: Q: What happened when your Apple Vision Pro malfunctioned during your TEDx talk A: Moments before my speech, the headset started malfunctioning due to low light backstage, leaving me without a functioning teleprompter. I had to improvise my entire 12-minute talk from memory. Q: How did you handle the unexpected challenges on stage A: I started improvising and delivered my speech from memory, relying on my rehearsals and understanding of the topic to keep the audience engaged despite the technical issues. Q: Who were some of the extraordinary people you met at the TEDx event A: The event featured impressive speakers from diverse backgrounds, including a person managing over 800 companies and local business owners who have gone global, all sharing their wealth of experience and knowledge.
